Botulinum toxin A is more commonly called botox. Once injected into the muscles of the face, it acts by freezing the activity of the muscles, thus preventing them from creating the lines which appear on our face, and get worse with age. If injected carefully, results can be discreet. Our objective is to enhance your natural beauty and not to make you look frozen or unnatural, so we help you maintain facial expressions.
Dermal fillers can be used to enhance your natural beauty, both by building up volume in areas that have lost it as well as reducing the appearance of fine lines.
They do not take long to inject at all, and following a consultation to ascertain what you would like to achieve, the appointment to inject the dermal filler under your skin will take a single visit.
Specifically, we can use it to treat the vertical lines that appear between the nose and the mouth and this will give the face a much younger appearance.
This is one of the most popular types of treatment and allows us, by injecting dermal filler into your lips, to enhance, reshape, smooth, and define them.
By expertly injecting the filler in a very precise and accurate way, we can make the appearance of your lips fuller, even out any asymmetry, and define the borders much better for a natural pout.
It can also help to smooth the lines that appear around the edges of the mouth, so-called ‘smoker’s lines, and this, in turn, has a marvellous anti-ageing effect on the whole face.

It can last from 3-6 months, after which repeated injections are necessary to maintain results and prevent lines from worsening, or growing in number, with age.
It is made from a smooth, medical-grade hyaluronic acid gel, which is something that is found natural in the deeper layers of your skin, and so considered extremely safe. When injected into the face, it can lift and smooth the skin, as well as attract moisture to it, giving it a fresher and more rejuvenated appearance.
Hyaluronic acid, both the naturally-found component of skin, as well as the injected filler, does break down over time. Treatment is therefore not considered permanent and may need replenishing every 3-12 months, to maintain results.
Lip fillers tend to last longer, usually between 12 and 18 months, before treatment is needed to maintain results.
We use very fine needles to inject the botulinum toxin and with great skill and care, it is relatively comfortable.
Injecting with dermal fillers in the deeper layers of the skin can be uncomfortable for some patients, but we take great care to make it as pain-free as possible. When injecting into the lips, we can also numb the areas we are injecting into to make the process completely pain-free.
